Origins Centre Update 2nd September 2020 CHANGING TIMES Both Steve and Timbo will be leaving OC soon for new adventures. Thank you both so much for all your help. I’m sure we will meet from time to time.
Melinda, Scott and Kip are staying to practice, study, create and help. There is now definitely room for two or three more people in the accommodation units. We are looking for at least a 3 or 4 month stay for anyone with a sense of harmony with Origins and all we do. Please contact Origins office: firstname.lastname@example.org
ENVIRONMENT Our careful culture, plus just enough rainfall, have almost filled all the tanks. Sholto and Kip keep on working the hill, managing and encouraging. It is a very beautiful place. Feral animals and plants really do take careful thought and action. Local rabbit populations seem to be falling due to the efforts of biosecurity.
IMAGINATION AND PRACTICE The intro course is finished, and it has inspired further thought and question. The next stage will be a little more involved with more home practice between sessions. New sessions are on the 4th Sunday of each month – Sept, Oct and Nov. and will be held at Coorain, and on Zoom. They will run from 9am to 12 noon followed by a potluck lunch. Melinda will coordinate this course. Please contact her: email@example.com
AUDIT It is that time again! Sondra and Anne have the accounts in order for our friend Richard. We are all very grateful that Richard does this important service pro bono, it contributes greatly to our viability.
POTTERY Pottery program runs Mondays and Tuesdays. There is room for new beginners or experienced people. Each class includes a mindfulness session. We have a children's class on Mondays, and hoping to start another on Tuesdays. Contact Anne: firstname.lastname@example.org
PRIVATE RETREAT Bookings can be made for the 3 self-contained spaces attached to Coorain; Tushita, the Studio and Lighthouse. Contact Anne: email@example.com
PATREON Another stage of uploaded podcasts has began. Scott and Chime reckon another few weeks and we will be all ready to go. We need volunteers who would like to be involved in interviewing, reading, or recitals. Please do get in touch and we can talk. Contact Chime via the OC office.
BACK OF HOUSE Admin and maintenance is supported by our on-line services, when you use any service regularly please support it when you can – either through bank transfers or PayPal. Although support is needed by so many groups, when people give steady support to chosen services it creates security and confidence. Thanks to all involved!
