NUNS OF THE KARMAPA For the first time since the pandemic struck, a dear friend is taking all our good wishes to the nuns in Sikkim. This has been a twenty year relationship that has given everyone involved wonderful value on many levels. She will depart from Perth on Nov. 17th and stay with the nuns for 10 days before returning home. Her trip will initiate a global fundraiser we have been waiting to launch at Coorain. Together, friends in Australia, New Zealand and India, have been major supporters of the nuns daily welfare and practical needs. They are generous and kind practitioners of dharma and maintain culture in willing, happy way. They are, we feel, so very worthy of support.
If you want to support once or by pledge, we are aiming to raise $20,000 a year for three years. HH 17th Karmapa Thaye Dorje has said we can reach out to the global Karma Kagyu community. We have delayed til now to let the pandemic shock settle.
100 percent of money given is held in trust by Origins, and 100 percent of that goes directly to the nuns. This arrangement has suited the nuns for many years and we continue at their request. Our accounts are audited each year, including the nuns’ expenditures. If you are able, please support the nuns - NUNS ACCOUNT at ORIGINS: BSB: 066504 ACC: 1012 2996 For international transfers: swiftcode CTBAAU25 THANK YOU
SOLAR BATTERY We are currently discussing the opportunity of renting a battery from a local company. We have to do something to make sustainable use of our solar array.
EFFICIENCY We are all trying to use electricity during the day between 9:30am and 3:00pm to take efficient advantage of solar! We try to use the hot water booster only during those sunny hours. We will be getting a small induction stove to try. Origins is only just getting adjusted to new efficiency requirements.

These bodywork modalities will be practiced slowly and mindfully, the key to cultivating interoception. Bodywork sessions will be interspersed with short meditation sits. Interoception is the felt sense of the internal state of the body. Slow mindful movement practice is an excellent vehicle for cultivating interoceptive awareness.
