THE UNFOLDING SEASONS Cooler wetter weather, lots of leaf litter, preparations for Traditional Ecological Burning, wonderful walks with indigenous guides and ecologists. There is plenty of work controlling bridal creeper, small blackberry, eastern gum, etc. Our beautiful regen continues to unfold – thanks to all involved. One thing seems certain -practice, practice, practice!
STAFFING It has been an unusual transition year with some essential friends away helping their families, and other friends falling ill. Our back of house resources have been essential. We emphasise that it’s great to be able to support our helpers who are also friends of Origins. Thank you Sasha, Gareth, Sondra, Jack, Hana and Katherine.
MAY RETREAT It’s a joy to be in retreat with a group of fellow travellers. The practices that support mindfulness are core teachings of inner development. Thanks to all who attend and care for Origins as well. We are sorry not to be on Zoom for those that can’t attend.
ZOOM Chim is unable to manage Zoom as well as teaching and other duties. Is there anyone competent in Zoom who would like to discuss managing classes for Chim, and perhaps others at Origins? Please get in touch!
FULL PROGRAM Some of our program is still not up and running, such as facebook streaming, kindy, zoom support, clay workshops and feature weekends. All programs need admin and on hand support, largely on a donated basis. This dedicated work allows our centre to be affordable and accessible. We are working our way back in awkward circumstances, slowly rebuilding onsite support.
WOOD FIRE HEATERS Our heaters are on track for servicing and upgrade.

VIHARA ATTENDANT There is an opportunity now for someone familiar with buddist teachings, particularly the root teachings of the Theravada, to help nurture and develop dharma teaching around the Peace Pagoda. We encourage a universalist approach, treating the dharma as a jewel of global wisdom culture. Inquire through our office, attention to Chime.
