FUTURE COURSES depend on WA’s stage 5 opening, but things are looking good and we look forward to our ongoing courses and events.
ENVIRONMENT It’s a busy time of year with storm damage, bridal creeper and oxalis to be tidied up. We are managing because Sholto and Kip are so onside, thankfully.
PAGODA We are slowly progressing on this front, especially with the new earthworks revealing what a great site we have. Chrissy is helping and we will soon embark on fundraising for a building. About $45,000 is needed to complete this important project which will establish dharma teaching as a constant at Origins, concentrated around the Peace Pagoda. Origins is a universalist place, welcoming many teachings and explorations that accord with the aspiration for peace and the present enlightenment. Stay tuned. If you have questions, please do contact Chime through the Centre.
We are 37 this year on August 15th, all because of friends who love the teachings and support our unique Origins Centre.
See you soon; be well and happy
THANKS - To all our residential community who have been so supportive and helpful during lockdown. - Deb Royale for her gifts to Tusita: a new gas bottle, hangers for saucepans, a door mat and a microwave oven. Deb came for a respite retreat recently. - Candy for arranging to volunteer for Coorain's archives and research needs. - Rosemary for arranging native plants suitable for hedging. These will shield the upcoming Pagoda Attendant's cabin and any access route along our eastern boundary. - Frank for the earthworks expertly done for the new Pagoda cabin site. There is more to do and Frank is offering his time and bobcat. - Thanks to all who have attended zoom or used Tusita or helped in other ways.
All activities at Origins Centre are suspended until the 12th of September, due to health concerns around COVID-19 and for our winter shut-down. To protect our staff and residents, no visitors please.
