THE SEASON AND THE WORKThey go hand in hand of course. Phalaris is in flower; blackberries are growing like mad. We don't have enough workers but we are looking for them and doing all we can.
LANDSCAPE MANAGER Origins needs someone to work 8 hours per week on the outdoor upkeep around Origins and Coorain. Good work habits and some familiarity with whipper snippers, hedge trimmers, etc. is helpful. Contact chim@originscentre.org
PEACE PAGODA DAY AND FAMILY RETREAT People are welcome to come and stay from Friday 1st December till Monday 4th December. We aim to enjoy each other's company and have some fun. Peace Pagoda Day is on Sunday 3rd December. Things begin at 10am at the rotunda, everyone is welcome! You are welcome to bring friends. We always encourage any children. If you want to bring fresh or dried flower petals, that would be a help. If you like you can bring a treat to share. We will have a beautiful day!
DUTY MANAGERS FOR 2024 We currently have 3 free weekends that will be open to guests. We will need a volunteer duty manager for each weekend. If you are able to help, please contact melinda@originscentre.org The weekends are Friday, 29th March till 1st April (Easter weekend); 24th March - 27th March; and 1st November to 4th November. We also need a duty manager this year for the Family Retreat and Peace Pagoda Day, 1st December to 4th December. Duty Managers should have experience of Origins. Your help is really appreciated; it's an important part of our culture.
INSURANCE Our costs have increased, but our policy is paid up for another year - $5,727.

SPECIAL WONGKUR AT COORAIN - 27th November The day can be attended at Coorain, or on Zoom. 'Wongkur' is a Tibetan form of sacred theatre. The topic is collaborative 'purification' or healing of all that blocks the present enlightenment. We are all working for this in some way. The wongkur reminds us that the overall complex needs are met on many levels by many people. They are addressed in many ways by each of us. The wongkur is called Heruka, which means free of artifice; integrated with all aspects of life. To register for zoom, please contact mindmed.yin@outlook.com To attend in person at Coorain please contact anne@originscentre.org
